Interesting. Following my discovery, and your mention of multiple links, I decided to make a brand new menu item to link to the article manager. It works! Had a different ID number, but, unlike typing in 213 (ID was 747 in this case) it shows all the items and I can edit again.

I'm even more convinced there's something broken deep down in this site. Other odd stuff going on too - SEF is completely broken - this may all be linked.

Anyway, it's working and I appreciate your time Patrick!

Hi Ian,

Sorry to hear. We have many installs and no earlier report yet so we need to narrow down possibilities. Can you try re-install first and if that doesn't work provide php version info? Have you installed F2C before on this setup?

Regards,
Patrick

Hi Patrick, thanks for the super quick reply! Sorry, I really didn't give you enough info in my first post, did I??!!

I just reinstalled 5.5.1 - same thing. We have been running F2C lite for well over a year now very successfully. Up until this morning we had 5.4.2 installed, and was working fine. Think I was in it on yesterday or Monday without issue. This morning, my client says, "Help! White screen!". I logged in at the front end and, sure enough, "She's dead Jim!!"

So I checked and we had an older version. Even though I did the upgrade to Joomla 3.6.2 over the weekend and it worked fine after that I though it can't hurt to install the latest. On a side note, is there any plan to add it to the extension to update list that Joomla pops up? So installed 5.5.1 and exactly the same errors as 5.4.2 threw. Then I wrote!

PHP version is 5.5.35.

Cheers

Hi Ian,

Haha, indeed we need a bit more info.
Do you get a white screen in the back-end or does everything work there?
Do you use any custom override (via html folder)?

Regards,
Patrick

Ahhh - found somethign interesting, but maybe not the cause (pretty sure not).

This client (because of "advice" from his graphic designer) decided on multiple templates that changed depending on the page you were on. Personally I don't like it but couldn't convince him otherwise. The article manager page for F2C uses the main (default) template. The non-SEF URL upon login is:

http://www.norcalpulse.com/index.php?option=com_form2content&view=forms&Itemid=159

If I replace the itemID with 213 the site appears. However, when getting to the article manager this way, it shows no articles in the DB when there are literally hundreds. However, again, the item ID of 159 was there previously and working. So.... <shrug>!!

Back end is fine - both getting to the article manager and opening/editing an article.

No overrides.
