Form2Cotent Lite 5.6
Joomla 3.9.16

I am trying to follow your tutorial:
Getting started: Step by step
https://documentation.form2content.com/f2c-getting-started/getting-started-step-by-step

Step 3: Defining the Joomla article fields first
IMPORTANT: In order to be able to save your article you need to configure the category field. In it select in which category you want to save your created Joomla articles.

-- question: where and how do I do this?

In your image gallery - your illustration 2 - I cannot find anywhere in my installation that looks like this screen (scr-00.jpg).

Among the fields there is one labelled 'category' (scr-01.jpg) which has a drop-down 'Joomla Category' but this is disabled (scr-02.jpg).

Please help.

Richard

Hi Richard,

It seems you have set the category field to "fixed" but not selected a category (your first image). This means you don't get a choice in your Form (as it is fixed) but you do need to pick a category where the articles will be saved.

Concerning your image gallery. In the documentation we refer to the Image field (the gallery field is a Pro feature). When you add a new field or look in the demo content you will find this field.

Hope this helps!

Best regards,
Patrick

Thank you for your prompt response.

I had not framed my query very clearly.

I have now moved to the pro version and found that one sets the default category under:
Content Type Manager >> fields >> category >> Additional field settings

but I was unable to find this Additional Fields setting in the free version.

Hi Richard,
Thanks for the update. Strange as it is part of F2C Lite otherwise you can't save your generated articles anywhere. Glad though that F2C Pro solved it for you.
Regards,
Patrick
