Resolved Using the image uploader for other files

Hello, I need to be able to upload mote than multiple files with only one form and then sort these files by a value I gave them using a custom field (each file will have its own "sort field";), is it possible?



I was thinking about using multiple "image uploader" to upload the files and then use the 'title' field for the sorting procedure.


The problem is that with the image uploader can only upload photos, is there any way I can make it work with other kind of file too?

Is there a better way to achive this?

Hi Moreno,

Mmmhhh. The image field has lot's of other things like cropping etc. so I don't think that's the best choice. The fields are plugin based so can be copied and adapted by a programmer. In this case I would choose to start with the file upload field and make it "repeatable" and add your value.

Can you do this yourself or have someone? Of course Julien can help on some of the finer things of the plugin code. Have a look at the code of the date picker field. It has some documentation on how to create your custom F2C field.
