Hello everyone!

I have a feature request, but I guess that it's not one of general high priority :p

Joomla (as well as this forum) uses a nice form field "widget" to choose an article's tags (in general: a multi-select field). It combines search, display and de-selection of entries in one field. From my point of view, its easier and faster to use than the current F2C alternative of combining a dropdown, a button and a separate list. The downside of the Joomla variant is that entries can't be sorted. I'd love to be able to choose the Joomla variant in cases where sorting is irrelevant.

Speaking more generally: I think the design and usability of F2Cs multi-select as well as the image gallery field seem a little "outdated" (no search in the first one, no drag&drop in both). Furthermore (at least in my installation) the list item table is preceded by the words "Envelope icon:" (no icon is present) - not sure what causes this and if there should be an evenlope icon.

I'm aware that right now you have to focus on the transition to Joomla 4 and that's perfectly alright. Maybe - if you agree - you can put it on a "to do list". ;)

Best wishes,
Sebastian

Hi Patrick,

thanks! By the way, any chance you have noticed my question in an older thread regarding the submission form redirect? Sorry, it seems right now I'm asking half of the question in this forum, but implementing all my plans and ideas is hard work. :p Still, I'm very happy with the flexibility of F2C, otherwise I'd already have given up on many of those ideas.

Best wishes,
Sebastian

Hi Sebastian,

Thanks for your suggestions. We have this one on the wish list and will look at UI (in)dependency ... a challenge as always.

Regards,
Patrick
