Hi Patrick,

A client of mine uses the F2C Submit Mailer plugin. After updating the system with the newest version I get an e-mail on initial submission but not on updating the F2C article in the backend. I updates the website with the newest components and plugins so the most recent version is installed. Also joomla is up to date with 3.9.2.

In the previous version the mailer worked also on updating an article...

Hope you can help me!

Regards,

Rick R2H

Hi Rick,

As discussed there is no issue as the notification plugin is developed to be only triggered in the front-end.

Patrick

Hi Alena,

I have several websites running with the plugin and I get update notifications fine. The above "issue" was for back-end submission. As I can't reproduce the issue I need more info. You have checked the plugin settings right? (just checking). I would also suggest you update Joomla to 3.9.15.

Regards, Patrick

Hi Patrick,
I have tried it on another website with Joomla 3.9.15 and I have the same problem. I have read on this forum that other people get this issue for front-end submission, when they use the edit article button as a link to submission form. When I use a link from Article manager, I receive the email about updated item.

I have finally found a solution - there is a code in f2csubmitmailer.php checking if the page is a menu item, I deleted it and It works now - even for the edit button.
