Hi,

thanks for great extension. I have Joomla! 3.4.1 Stable [ Ember ] and Form2Content Pro version 6.10.0 purchase yesterday.

I have been trying many ways SIG to work but have some error.
foreach is working but code:
{ldelim}gallery{rdelim}{$GALLERY_URL_RELATIVE}{ldelim}/gallery{rdelim}
geting error.

Error: The plugin could not locate the folder: images/images/upload/2015/p3/f57/gallery28/

Sig code in article: {gallery}images/upload/2015/p3/f57/gallery28/{/gallery}

and it should be: {gallery}upload/2015/p3/f57/gallery28/{/gallery}

I get doubled image/image.

Joomla path to image map: images
SIG folder: images
F2C relative path: images/upload/

Also have the when use custom tags: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'ORDER BY title ASC' at line 4 SQL=SELECT id, title FROM grzd86_tags
but I saw topic that error is fixing. I am getting same error when trying delete that article (beckend and frontend).

One more: when delete article in frontend I get log off. this was before syntax error.

Thanks.

regards.

Hi Tom,

Have you added a custom folder for F2C image path? If so, that would be very important information!

Second, it seems that we generate the correct URL:
{$GALLERY_URL_RELATIVE} = /images/upload/2015/p3/f59/gallery28/
Without custom folder.
{$GALLERY_URL_RELATIVE} = /com_form2content/p3/f59/gallery28/

And since I believe you have a custom path for F2C this IS the relative path.

Last. We cannot make other relative URLs than the actual ones if you use custom paths. This means that it seems to be a SIG plugin issue where it doesn't allow the removal of the images directory!

Hope you are following my logic.

Patrick

Hi Tom,

Glad you are enjoying F2C. Please let's handle one problem per post. For the later too I also need more information so please make sure I or anyone else can understand what the problem is, where and what you are trying to accomplish.

Than about the SIG gallery. Did you check the output in the Joomla article manager?

1) What is the ROOT folder specified in SIG plugin?
2) F2C works relative from images/stories as described in the documentation. So try this if your root = images:

{ldelim}gallery{rdelim}stories/{$GALLERY_URL_RELATIVE}{ldelim}/gallery{rdelim}

Use the Joomla article manager (JAM) to check the generated article content (html). Easy to than backtrack changes needed in the F2C template!

Hi Patrick,
I am trying to put gallery into article with SIG as described in tutorial.

SIG plugin - Root folder for image galleries: images

Form2Content - Images path: images/upload/2015 (this is folder where F2C save image gallery and saving images working well)

but,

when I put code: {ldelim}gallery{rdelim}{$GALLERY_URL_RELATIVE}{ldelim}/gallery{rdelim}
I get error: The plugin could not locate the folder: images/images/upload/2015/p3/f59/gallery28/

when I put code: {ldelim}gallery{rdelim}upload/{$GALLERY_URL_RELATIVE}{ldelim}/gallery{rdelim}
I get error: The plugin could not locate the folder: images/upload/images/upload/2015/p3/f59/gallery28/

when I put relative path in Form2Content: 2015
i get good path for galery: {gallery}upload/2015/p3/f60/gallery28/{/gallery}
but images are saved before images folder, in root directorij of page.

Tom

What is the default ROOT in the plug?!

If it is images, remove it and the first will work.

I try that, but when I remove it come back automatically.
Another words, Sig plugin do not let me remove it.

Hi Patrik,

returned all in default and it is working.
Maybe some BIG letter warning about changing default folder! If there is, I am sorry.

Thanks

Hi Tom,

Please understand that F2C is working fine! The generated URL's are correct but SIG plugin ONLY works if you specify paths FROM images! That is not logical since it isn't a correct relative URL.

We have actually had to create a "confusing" relative URL from the path images/stories/ since many old plugins worked this way. With a custom path this is impossible since not everyone would want this of course!

The BUG is in SIG plugin. If you could remove the /images path it would work with our custom folder for images!!

This is a pain in the back for everyone!!!

Patrick

Hi Patrik,

i read that working with 3rd party image gallery plugins is easy. So if I decite to change plug in it would be a problem?

Hi Tom,

I don't understand your question. How can we have control over other plugins?

If an image plugin uses Joomla plugin syntax it works easy. We can "deliver" the image data, be it path or file or size in several ways making it suitable for integration.

YES, you can change with maybe two lines of code from one to another plugin. OR maybe decide to use bootstrap or UIkit to build your own (works really well too).

But, if plugins work with data outside the article content or if it works in a non native way (little bit like SIG not allowing you to remove part of a path) we have no control over that.

Patrick

We talk about changing gallery when time comes :-)

Thank you Patrik for your time.
