Hello F2C,

For some reason I get a difference in layout when using the filtered articles or the search module. The search results from the module show a duplicate of the intro image. This does not happen when using the filtered article function. Does someone can tell me where to fix this?

This page is filtered articles: http://volt2016.borol.nl/
When you use the search module on the page you will see there is a extra image. I do not want it there!
Both are created with the same F2C template.

Regards
Rob

Form2Content shows the Joomla article introduction in both Search and Filtered article lists. There is NO difference. The only difference is in page format allowing for extra things like introduction and metatags.

Therefore it is not a Form2Content setting or option somewhere that causes the image to display but probably a css/html issue. The image cannot appear from nowhere so there must be code in the F2C template or override or anything that creates the Joomla article intro.... that is beyond our control.

Maybe all that is missing is a page class that would hide the image.... As far as I can see both the monochrome and colour version are shown, probably instead of a hover effect.... this is content html/css

We help for free, we have helped you and your company a lot! Many of your previous 29 issues and questions have been about Joomla knowledge and not F2C issues. If our free help isn't appreciated by all means stop using the forum.

Hi Rob,

The two layouts are linked to two different Search features and as such have individual layouts. Similar but not the same since F2C Search filtered article pages have more options for SEO.

If you want identical layout it's easy to create an override conform Joomla.

Search view override: website root/ template / html / com_form2contentsearch / search / default.tpl
Filtered article list override: website root/ template / html / com_form2contentsearch / datavw / default.tpl

Hope this helps

Regards,
Patrick

Hello Patrick,

Thanks for your reply. It is not something I have overlooked? The search results seem to show an extra version of the intro image. Is this something I can adjust in Joomla or F2C? If not I will make adjustments to the templates.

Thanks a lot!

Hi Rob,

Please check your code...as always F2C just renders the Joomla article intro, nothing else. We can't just show an extra image.... you determine 100% what is shown. So the subject of this post seems unrelated to the actual issue.

I see a class called "img-intro-none" ... do you maybe hide the image on other pages?

Patrick

The subject of this post seems unrelated to the actual issue? It definitely is not! It tells exactly what issue I have with the layout search result. There is a difference in how the results are shown for the filtered articles and the manual search. The search result does indeed include a img-intro-none, but I do not know where it is based on and where it comes from. So excuse me if I asked the wrong question. It seems you can not help me with this one. Thanks though for trying!

Sorry Patrick,

You take it the wrong way. Your component is a very useful component. I did not mean to upset you. If I did so, my deepest apologies. I did not know there was a restriction on asking questions on this forum, f2c or Joomla related. You make it very clear this is a Joomla- or myself-related issue. Therefore I will take another look at this issue myself. Thanks for you replies.

Greats,
Rob
