Default Joomla articles are not showing up in my front-end f2cl article manager. It appears they're not syncing together or something.

Sorry, this is probably a new user question.

Any and all help will be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi River,

The Form2Content article manager can only edit Joomla article created by F2C. There is no way we can reverse html into database values and template. If I read your description correct your users so nopt use the F2C article manager to create the articles, is this correct?

If not correct and you are using F2C to submit you will also run into limitations of F2C Lite. In Pro you can set articles as unpublished and hide the publishing options by default. You can than let moderators publish the articles via a seperate menu item to the F2C article manager with the correct permissions (like view all so they can see articles from other users).

Patrick

Hi,

No problem. First question. Does everything work in the back-end? Can you publish Joomla articles and do you see them in the JAM?

Two, are you logging in as super admin in the front-end? If not make sure your permissions are set correct and that you set 'display own articles only' to NO in the menu parameters of the link to the F2C front-end article manager.

Patrick

Patrick,

No, my published articles are NOT showing up in the F2C front-end article manager. Seems something's missing, configuration wise in the back end.

Any ideas what that might be?

Thanks for the response!

Sorry, but can you answer all my questions and suggestions if you checked those?

Yo!

This is a quick version of what I'm trying to achieve..

User groups I have in place:

Submission View - Editor as parent. (Users in this group can submit articles & docs, but not publish them)
Moderator View - Publisher as parent (Reviews submissions and approves/publishes them)

I've set up a new category called "Awaiting Review", which is where I'd like all submitted docs to go by default. Now, this is working for my MENU item - "Submit an Article", because I've specified it in parameters. However, when viewing articles in a category, the create article button comes up in the content area, which allows the "submission view group" to submit articles to that category. I can't take this create button off the content page without also taking it off the menu... Don't know if there's a fix for that.

So, back to F2C..

My user group "Moderator View", will be the ones using the F2C article manager, and none of the articles published in the front end are showing up. Not "Awaiting Review", not even published articles.

There's the answer to your first question. As for the parameters... the only parameter I see that's remotely close to 'display own articles only' is in Global Configuration > F2C Lite > Front End > Edit items by user is set to 'all items'.

In the Menu Manager: Edit Menu Item, I don't see any parameter settings nor do I see any when I go to Components > F2C Lite > F2C Article Manager... In fact, I don't even see the articles (published or unpublished) in the back-end article manager.

Again, thanks for your time helping me, much appreciated.
