Hello guys,

I've spent the evening trying out F2C search. Some things work fine already, but one thing does not and I think I need a nudge to the right direction here.

From my understanding (correct me if I'm wrong) the intro template should influence the appearance of the entries in the search result list. However, in my case it doesn't. I can influence some of the information that is shown through the "Article Options" tab in the Search Forms Manager, but no matter what edits I make to the intro template, nothing changes regarding the appearance of the search results. I have assigned the template to the content type's intro_template field, if that is relevant.

My question seems somehow related to this older thread. I however do not want to customize the overall page layout but the layout of a single search result within the search results list (e.g.: Title, Author, Image, Introtext).

Seems to be simple in general, so I guess there must be some misunderstanding on my side.

Thanks for your help!

Best regards,
Sebastian

Hi Sebastian,

Apologies for the late reply.
The F2C Search results are basically a category blog layout. In the F2C Search component settings you can define the blog layout options (like show hide title, author etc.. Only the article introduction (i.e. the part before the read more) is managed though the F2C intro template.

Hope this still helps you out.

Regards,
Patrick

Hi Patrick,

okay, that is helpful, thanks!

Edit: I removed a lot of speculation here about why my intro template doesn't cause any change as I noticed that I just should have re-saved my F2C articles as I've always done while editing the main template. Stupid me. :p

Best regards,
Sebastian
