Hi F2C
I want to use the Intro/Full article image fields and be able to choose either a browser server field selected image or a newly uploaded image.
The only way I see to do this is to create two different content types: one where the images is uploaded and one where the image is selected from the server.
I’m am aware that I could include the image in the article body and select the desired image via the template manger code, but I prefer to use the standard Joomla image fields.
Is there a way to achieve this?
Thanks.

Hi Patrick
I tried this with F2C only and this was not workable: to cumbersome.
But this works wonderful using a file uploader module: Easy File Uploader. I placed this module near the F2C article manager and now one can create/change F2C articles and easily use existing/new images.
Your advice helped me a lot, thanks!
PS: you should add such possibility to F2C. This makes the double image selection possibility obsolete and the whole image selection process easier and more powerful.
Didier.

Hi Didier,

The Joomla image fields are linked "statically" per content type so no logic available.

Perhaps you could create a file upload field to the root folder of the image directory?..... just thinking out loud, would need to check if possible.

Patrick
