Resolved Import failure

Hello and thanks in advance,

I am trying to import articles extracted from an older CMS system. Batch creates files similar to the one I am attaching and it works. But every now and then it refuges to import a file without throwing any error in the logs. Attached file is one rejected.
Can you think of what might be wrong?

Hi Mikhail,

Your XML is not well formed.

One of the titles has the & character in it, which should be encoded as & amp;
(I have put a space here deliberately, since the forum removes the formatting on this character!)

Thank you, I have CDATA the title and managed to import 600+ articles.
But I have this problem that is a first time. Since the articles are too many when I select them all and refresh it crashes. Any clues about that?

Hi Mike,

You are talking about the refresh function in the back-end of F2C I presume?

In the current version, it is limited to the time-out of your server (in most cases 30-60 seconds). That means that it can refresh as much articles as it can handle within that time-frame.
In the new version (which is not out yet) we have changed this functionality so it can handle the refresh of an unlimited number of articles. For now you will have to refresh page by page, keeping the number of articles under the time-limit.
