Hi,

I would like to do some post save action in form2content. In other words, I would like to use implement a onAfterF2cContentSave functions to allow to do some actions right after having saved the data. Unfortunatly I'm totally clueless on how I could do this.

For the purpose of simplifying the conversation, let's just say I would like to write a line to the console with the contents of a few fields. I have understood this is possible with form2content by writing a function to be executed after saving the data. For example, so I understand, one can write the function onAfterF2cContentSave which allows you do exactly that. I can even read in http://documentation.form2content.com/images/stories/form2contenteventsdocumentation.pdf that these abilities
open up a whole new world for Form2Content. However, I have not understood, nor could I find anywhere how I can create such a function and make that available to be run. I'm totally clueless and no documentation that points in a direction that allows me to do this. I imagine I would need to do something like this. But: where??? Do I need to install an extra plugin for doing this? The documentation seems to point me in the direction of templates, but I couldn't see where in the template I could do this.

Please help.

Thanks,

Johan

<?php
public function OnAfterF2cContentSave($eventData)
{
echo "Hello";
return true;
}
?>

Hi Johan,

This is possible, please have a look at how you can create a F2C Plugin that can do this.There are 6 events possible:
1. onBeforeF2cContentSave
2. onAfterF2cContentSave
3. onBeforeF2cContentDelete
4. onAfterF2cContentDelete
5. onBeforeF2cContentParse
6. onAfterF2cContentParse

https://documentation.form2content.com/f2c-extensions/joomla-plugins/151-create-your-own-form2content-plugin

Regards,
Patrick
Please read the F2C documentation before asking questions! Thank you if you've done so ;)
