I'd like to find and replace the following data in the attributes colom of the f2c_form table.

Do you think I can just do that with 'Find and replace' in MySQL?

I need to do it because "info_block_position":"1" seems to be missing from most of my articles attributes.

So replace this

{"show_title":"0","link_titles":"","show_tags":"","show_intro":"0","show_category":"","link_category":"","show_parent_category":"","link_parent_category":"","show_author":"1","link_author":"","show_create_date":"","show_modify_date":"1","show_publish_date":"1","show_item_navigation":"","show_icons":"","show_print_icon":"","show_email_icon":"","show_vote":"0","show_hits":"1","show_noauth":"","alternative_readmore":"","article_layout":""}

To this

{"show_title":"0","link_titles":"","show_tags":"","show_intro":"0","info_block_position":"1","show_category":"","link_category":"","show_parent_category":"","link_parent_category":"","show_author":"1","link_author":"","show_create_date":"","show_modify_date":"1","show_publish_date":"1","show_item_navigation":"","show_icons":"","show_print_icon":"","show_email_icon":"","show_vote":"0","show_hits":"1","show_noauth":"","urls_position":"","alternative_readmore":"","article_layout":""}

Thanks, elisabeth

Hi Elisabeth,

I don't think a search-replace alone will do the trick, because what you want is to insert something when it's missing.

You could query the records that don't have the info_block_position in it and then add it just before th last },
So you need a pre-selection first and then you can use a search and replace query.

The exact position is not relevant, since the string is a serialized JSON object.

Please note that you need to refresh all the articles, before the string gets used in your output!

best,
Julien

I am spending a lot of time on this and its pretty simple I am sure. Is there any chance that you can do it for me? If it takes a bit of your free time, I am sure I could compensate you for that.

At this moment I'm overwhelmed with work...December is not the most quiet month for me....I'm not taking any custom jobs now. Besides that, SQL queries are not my speciality either.

Maybe there's another SQL developer on this forum reading along who can help you?

best,
Julien
