When the search button is pressed the page changes to another page, the menu bar says it is the home page. The search module is missing though. The same thing happens when I choose the auto search option.

I would prefer the results shown on the same page or menu choice, or on a page I can specify. The auto search is useless now, as the search module disappears as soon as the first search term is entered.

I entered the id of the menu item of the existing page in the search module, and now the search module stays visible. Thanks!

Hi Hans,

Please see: http://documentation.form2content.com/f2c-extensions/f2c-search/51-using-the-item-id-in-the-f2c-search-module

Remember that modules need to be linked to pages in Joomla. As such an itemid is needed.

Regards, Patrick
