I am not using the latest version (FYI) but v5.6.0 (Lite). However, on a pretty much identical site (it was actually cloned off this site), it also has the same version, but does not display these issues.

I turned on Development error reporting and that shows no errors, however, doing an inspect shows a lot of red and pink in the console. However, being a total non-programmer, I have no clue what they all mean. The other site does not show these errors.

Hi Ian,

"Almost" is the magical word. The sites won't be identical as values for DB, URL etc. are different.

I can give you some pointers.
1) Does it work in the back-end? (ALWAYS test there first)
2) Do you use overrides, custom scripts etc?
3) Are there any fields, codes etc. with references to old values? Think of static URL, DB references etc.

You should be able to re-run the F2C installer which might help. Please always BACKUP before!!

Regards,
Patrick

:p Yes it is! Your reply got me thinking about the big differences, which led me to the issue - just not the answer. On the failing site, we have SEF404 installed to clean up some SEF issues on the site. When the main system plugin is enabled the Save, Save & Close, etc buttons do not work. If I disable it, then they do.

Glad you found it. If I'm not mistaken you can tell SH404sef to "skip" the Form2Content component.

Good luck!

Perfect! Thank you so much for that tip. It took some fiddling with the settings to get it right, but it now works perfectly.

For anyone else coming up against this issue, go into SEF404--.Configuration-->General tab-->Components. Scroll down til you see Form2Content. Refer to the attachment for the settings I had to use to make it work.

Thanks again!
