Hi I have previously used Form2Content and wanted to use it again on my site. I installed the sample data and just wanted to look at the form in the front end. I have tried linking to the two sample forms and created a menu item for each. I get the same error although the PHP line number is different in each.

Fatal error: Call to undefined method Form2ContentModelForm::canSubmitArticle() in /home/guppyclubcom/public_html/components/com_form2content/controllers/form.php on line 152

Any clues as to what I am doing wrong?

Cheers Shooter.

Thanks Julien,

I disabled F2C Anywhere and it has resolved the problem. Say hello to Pieter-Jan from me. I haven't spoken to him for a long time!

Cheers Shooter.

Thanks Stephen,

It might be that some of the settings are not correct.
Can you check that you have templates linked and a category selected? Please note that these can now be found in the field manager. I'm also assuming you are not using any overrides.

Patrick

Hi Thanks Patrick,

Yes I think I have done all that correctly.

I have uninstalled, re-installed the component too. I have followed your example set up instructions twice now and I get the same results.

I am using yootheme template, pagebuilder for some pages. I don't have too many components installed, sellacious store, kunena forum and that is about it.

Any other suggestions?

Hi Stephen,

I can't think of any other reason since no one else (including me) has had this issue yet.

One more thought. I assume back-end works? Can you try front-end using the default Protostar template?

Patrick

Hi Patric, yes the back end works it's only the front end. I have tried using the Prostar template and same result.

When I installed I did get a error something about test not being found (when installing sample data) but then also had the "success" message when I refreshed the page.

However I have just noticed this error in the äbout section of your component

Fatal error: Class 'form2content\Test' not found in /home/guppyclubcom/public_html/administrator/components/com_form2content/views/about/tmpl/default.php on line 20

Does that help at all?

Thanks for the detailed feedback! I will ask Julien to look into this. He might want to login or get an akeeba backup but will let you know. At the same time we will try reproduce the issue.

I do believe that if you create your own form and templates it should work without issue. Maybe worth testing.

Patrick

Hi Stephen,

I can help you with this.
Can you please send me an Akeeba back-up where I can see (and debug) the problem myself?
You can send it to julien at opensourcedesign dot nl

Thanks!

best,

Hi Julien,

I have sent you via email a site back up. Please can you take a look for me and see if you can shed some light on my issue.

Cheers Shooter.

Hi Stephen,

Thanks, I installed the back-up on my system and I can see the problem.
I'm not sure what's happening yet, but I'll try to investigate it.

best,
Julien

Hi Stephen,

I found out that it's Form2Content Anywhere that's interfering with the component.
F2C Anywhere is not written by me, but I'll see if I can contact the author about this.

For the time being: if you disable F2C Anywhere, it should work!

best,
Julien

I also had exactly this same issue AFTER updating to Form2ContentPRO v 6.17.2
Joomla v 3.8.11
Linux duras.lunarbreeze.com 2.6.32-673.26.1.lve1.4.29.el6.x86_64 #1 SMP Tue Jun 20 13:27:00 EDT 2017 x86_64
PHP v 5.6.31

THE ONLY ERROR, as far as I can tell is in F2C About screen:
http://globalfoodtraveler.com/administrator/index.php?option=com_form2content&view=about
and it's a mess, the template is broken and it's displaying the error:

Fatal error: Class 'form2content\Test' not found in "/home/globa354/public_html/administrator/components/com_form2content/views/about/tmpl/default.php on line 20"

I do not have the F2C Anywhere plugin installed at all.

Please see screen shot.

Please let me know how to resolve this ?
Thank you !

Kent
