Hello and thanks in advance.

I have a home page that is actually an articles-blog page. The first article has metadata injector but the og data won't appear. Is there a solution for this or I must re-work to bring as article and module-list the rest?

Thank you

Hi Mikhail,

This is Joomla structure. What you are trying shouldn't work ;)

Solution is to add this either via the menu item or if you want more meta data via the blog description.

You can use articles anywhere or Form2Content Anywhere to load a Joomla article (or F2C data) there.
https://demo.form2content.com/extensions/form2content-anywhere-plugin

Hope you follow!

Patrick

Well the articleanywhere plugin worked fine... BUT the articles you import cannot have an edit-article button. Is there any way around this?

Thanks

Hi Mikhail,

Glad that worked. What do you mean with "import"? You render the Joomla article that ís generated with Form2Content. Are you saying the F2C Edit article plugin doesn't work? Do make sure that you allow Article Anywhere to render content plugins!

Patrick

Well, this is what I do, I have the article template which calls the ArticleAnywhere plugin:

<div class="home">
<div class="hero-container">
...
<div class="welcome-notes">
{ldelim}F2cAnywhere contenttypeid=4|limit=2{rdelim}
<div class="welcome-note">
<div class="title">[:$JOOMLA_TITLE:]</div>
[:$CONTENT:]
<div class="signature">
[:$SIGNATURE:]
</div>
</div>
{ldelim}/F2cAnywhere{rdelim}
</div>

...which brings the 2 articles, but if you put the:

{ldelim}plgContentF2cEditArticleButton{rdelim}{ldelim}/plgContentF2cEditArticleButton{rdelim}

it won't render a button for the ArticleAnywhere ones.

My problem is that those 2 articles should be editable too. Attached the template file

Thank you in advance

Hi Mikhail,

Does the {ldelim} actually get converted to { ? If not you might just use { } . You can check this in the Joomla article manager.

Patrick

Hello Patrick, these are the 2 cases I tried:

{ldelim}F2cAnywhere contenttypeid=4|limit=2{rdelim}
<div class="welcome-note">
<div class="title">[:$JOOMLA_TITLE:]</div>
{ldelim}plgContentF2cEditArticleButton{rdelim}{ldelim}/plgContentF2cEditArticleButton{rdelim}
[:$CONTENT:]
...

produces the following error:

Syntax Error in template "3b4c2872fa7da0a2d89b93c607fc50db381e90ee" on line 4 "{plgContentF2cEditArticleButton}{/plgContentF2cEditArticleButton}" unknown tag "plgContentF2cEditArticleButton"

{F2cAnywhere contenttypeid=4|limit=2}

[:$JOOMLA_TITLE:]
{plgContentF2cEditArticleButton}{/plgContentF2cEditArticleButton} [:$CONTENT:]
[:$SIGNATURE:]
{/F2cAnywhere}

When I tried without the {rdelim} and directly { then it won't even refresh the article (just throws error)

Thanks

Mike

Mmmhhh, OK try escaping the lot, so add:

[:literal:]{plgContentF2cEditArticleButton}{/plgContentF2cEditArticleButton}[:/literal:]

Can you check if the literal option works? i.e. paste:

[:literal:]my test[:/literal:]
Please read the F2C documentation before asking questions! Thank you if you've done so ;)

I'm afraid that it isn't going to work :(

The problem is that even if we get the plugin code to render there is not article ID in the URL of the blog page. Sorry I should have realized this sooner but was focusing on getting the syntax correct.

I usually set up a front-end admin area with Protostar template for my clients. In it I make links to the article manager like: "Manage news", or "Manage page descriptions". Maybe that's an option?

There is a possibility to develop the plugin and add the variable to the syntax. This however will take time and I have to speak to our programmer first. Developing for Joomla 4 is as usual a lot of work for us.

OK hoped to avoid the articles list but ok I will go with the article manager option. Thanks for the try anyway.
