I have used F2C (Lite) to help a site owner enter a bunch of article (hundreds of them) into 3 different sites that are a "What's on/what to do" type directory site. One of the sites is http://www.ckdev.info/northcoast (we're still building this one). It works really well and we've both enjoyed using the component.

As you will see on this page (random example) http://www.ckdev.info/northcoast/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=990:70-miles-mt-shasta-ski-park&catid=74&Itemid=621 you'll see the title to the left and the logo floated to the right. This works well until we display it on a phone. Because of the float, the title displays poorly (see attachment - not the same article). I know I could probably use media queries to get around this, but I don't know how to write these. Is there another way around this to, say, center the image and drop the title to underneath or vice versa?

The second issue is updating articles after editing the template. I know I can open an article in F2C and then resave, but we have hundreds (probably over the 3 sites, well over a thousand) of articles. This would take forever. Is there a way to apply the new template to all articles which use it (we actually only use 1 intro and main template so all article use the same ones). "Apply to all" would be great!

Hi Ian,

Thanks for your compliments on using F2C.

Question 1) As you state this is a CSS or front-end framework (like bootstrap) question. I don't know any other way. I suggest googling the media queries as there are a ton of examples online.

Question 2) In the back-end we have a Batch refresh option. I.e. select the articles and click batch refresh. It is very well possible that his is F2C Pro only, I don't use Lite ;) . Our new version (Pro 6.17 development release) uses a new system which prevents php server time outs when you really want to refresh many articles.

Hope the answers help.

Regards,
Patrick

Thanks Patrick. I found the menu item "Refresh" which seems to be what you're referring to. However, it doesn't do what I expect (update every, or any, articles to the new/updated template).

Hi Ian,

Please make sure that the new template has the same name as the old template (ie only replace the content). The template file in the articles can not be batch changed/updated to a new file.

Patrick
