Hi Patrick
I have install the new version you send me.
I am sorry but I still can´t get it to work.
I must be able to choose a category from the front end when creating a new article, but it should not be displayed to the end user in articles.
Can I not do that anymore?
Is it possible to link a template to a category in the database so I can go thise way?

Regards, Ellen

Ellen, please read my comments and say if you don't understand or know what the submission form override is.

http://documentation.form2content.com/f2c-front-end/submission-form-templating
IS NOT THE SAME AS
http://documentation.form2content.com/f2c-templating/creating-custom-templates

1) STOP using the front-end submission form override when developing !!!!!!! (Switch it off in the content type configuration)
2) GO to fields manager and select the INTRO TEMPLATE field and edit. Select the template you want
3) GO to fields manager and select the MAIN TEMPLATE field and edit. Select the template you want

Test after this and let me know and ADD YOUR VERSION INFO!
Please read the F2C documentation before asking questions! Thank you if you've done so ;)

Hi Ellen,

PLEASE be more specific in your Forum title so others understand what is going on and ALWAYS add all your version information so others can also check if they have the issue!

I will edit your forum title now.

Next. If you go to the field manager for your F2C Content Type you can find the field called "category". This used to be in the content type config but has moved. The reason is that you can change order of all fields now.

1) Have you found it
2) is is set to show in front-end
3) Can you check the settings.

Regards,
Patrick

Sorry for the title and thank you very much.
Category is set to show in frontend and it does so I can choose category in frontend. BUT, when I have created a template, It request that I have to insert a category in the template and the category should not be shown in the article.
It's the same with the title, it should not appear in the article itself.
If you want to try to access the page, I will log in to it.

I have NO idea what you mean with:

It request that I have to insert a category in the template and the category should not be shown in the article.

What are you trying to do?? Are we talking about the submission form override template or the F2C article template??

PLEASE ADD YOUR VERSION INFO FOR OTHERS!!!

I must be able to choose a category from the front end when creating a new article, but it should not be displayed to the end user in articles.

So don't add it to your F2C template code..... you have FULL control. WHAT is the issue?

I want when my user creates an article in frontend, it must be associated with a template. There is a now attached, from the old version, but I can not change it anywhere.
Please try logging in to the front page with ########## (I removed) #########
http://ny.persang.dk/index.php/admin/produkter-raekke-med-link/articlemanager
And create a new one.
Now it creates, but with the wrong template. It uses Gallery2.tpl and not Reklame.tpl as it should.

Hi Ellen,

Glad that solved it. Please understand we will update documentation for these changes. They are described in the changelog for F2C Pro 6.17.

Patrick
