I'm looking at using Form2Content for a site I'm building and want to know if there is a way to restrict a front-end user to only submitting one form/article?

The alternative is I have been reading about creating profile pages of which a user can only have 1. Can profile pages have additional data fields that can be searched on? For example adding a field in the profile called "Preferred Location" where a user can select one of 4 options from a dropdown on their profile, then a non-registered user can search on that field and return all profiles with that option?

Hi Michael,

Yes that's all possible. Each F2C submission form can have as many custom fields as you like. If you add that single select option it can be searched via F2C Search. In other words you can search your profile articles by "preferred location", name, Joomla category (could have the locations as sub-categories also) etc.

The documentation you found I think is: http://documentation.form2content.com/f2c-tips-and-tricks/92-creating-profile-pages

Hope this answers your questions.

Regards,
Patrick
Please read the F2C documentation before asking questions! Thank you if you've done so ;)
