I a a newbie to Joomla and recently dowloaded Joomla and have loaded several plugins eg JCE

I am sorry to have to come to the forum but I can not get the Form2content lite to download to my Joomla site. I have used the web access for the Extension manager and successfully loaded several extensions. When I request Form2content lite the intial box displayed and I click to open.
When I click on download it takes me to a page in the Form2content website that says download but does not allow me to download the extension. I was expecting that the download key would operate like the JCE editor and the extension download.

Can someone hrelp please

Hi Barrie,

Welcome to Joomla.

I can't see any problem on our download page. Maybe you didn't click on the button 'View files'?
Please follow this link to the download page for Joomla 3 version of F2C Lite:
http://www.form2content.com/download/f2c-lite/5-4-2-joomla-3

May I ask why you want to use Form2Content? Or in other words what you like to accomplish using the CCK? Since you are new to Joomla this is a little more advanced function.

Regards,
Patrick

Dear Patrick,
Many thanks for your reply. I managed to download Form2content lite based on your reply.
I am hoping to use Form2content to enable Group Leader members of our U3A (UK university of the third age ie retired people) to load data into pages relating to their groups. These members are not particularly IT literate so I am hoping this software will provide a simple interface via the front end to load data in a simple way without knowing anything about styling etc

Regards

Barrie

Hi Barrie,

That does sound like a good reason ;)

You have probably read that the F2C Lite version has limited features but works the same as Pro. You can even upgrade without loss of data. Pro has been developed to make adding articles 'dummy proof' i.e. hide fields and extra's the user doesn't need to see and add more default info. Have a play and see if you think it works for you. Let me know if you have questions.

Regards,
Patrick
