Hi,

Would it be possible to have the option of including the article thumbnail as a column in the Front-end Article Manager view ? My site a predominately image orientated so this is quite important to me.

If not an option you wish to pursue, could this be 'easily(ish)' done via template override ?

Regards,

Dave

Hi Dave,

Yes, I think it's possible what you want, but it will take some PHP knowledge to establish it.

First you must override the F2C Article Manager.
Within that manager you have a list of F2C articles that will be displayed. For each article you have the id, this is the Form2Content id.

You need to lookup that id in the table #__f2c_form and find the column reference_id.
The reference_id is the id for the corresponding Joomla article, that can be found in #__content.
This table holds the images column that contains the intro image.

best,
Julien

Hi Julien,

Thanks for the response. I think I will leave that and explore the options you have provided nearer the end of the project.

Thanks,

Dave

Hi Dave,

I understand what you are asking. Problem is that we base the layout on the Joomla article manager and not build it ourselves. If it's possible to "override" this and add that extra data I'm not sure. I will ask Julien if he knows a way.

Regards,
Patrick
Please read the F2C documentation before asking questions! Thank you if you've done so ;)
