When an article is entered by a user, I sometimes can not find who entered it, In the F2C article manager there is a reference to the name of the user, but there can be more users with the same name. Wouldn't it be better to refer to the user name, as this name is unique?
Yes, I agree that the real name of a user is not unique, but the username is.
We use the real name of the user in this place, since usernames sometimes can be very cryptical to an administrator (like joe123 for example). When an alias is present, we show that too.
This is the way Joomla itself handles names.
Here's a small hack that you can use to show the username (please note, that on updating the component, the change is overwritten!):
Edit the file <your website root>/administrator/components/com_form2content/models/forms.php
One line #117 it says:
$query->select('u.name as author_name');
change that to:
$query->select('u.name as author_name,u.username');
Edit the file <your website root>/administrator/components/com_form2content/views/forms/tmpl/default.php
