After updating Joomla! to 3.7.0 I have issues with F2C. When creating a new content item I get the following error messages:

I have tested the update on 2 different websites. Both had the same result. Hope to hear there is a solution.

Please add version info of F2C/php. No reports of issues yet. Also are you running any overrides or custom code? Past reported issues by you have often seen other things being the cause...

Hi Rob,

I didn't receive any login info but you also didn't answer my question about any overrides or customization. What's more, a quick Google on part of the error message reveals this:
https://forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?t=949762

This might provide a solution until we know if we need to change something or if Joomla does.

I do not use any overrides. Well at least none other then those in a yootheme template. I filled the Site Details tab on the last reply. There you will find the login and URL.

The findings you mention refer to a different component (virtuemart) but it is indeed the same error. I don't think their solution works here. Do you have a working version with Joomla 3.7.0? If so what are your specs? I will go back to joomla 3.5 for now.

Rob

Hi Rob,

We (Julien en I) have not been able to replicate the issue at the moment.
For us and so far everyone else F2C 6.15 works fine in Joomla 3.7. It is possible that this is a Joomla bug triggered by a certain combination of settings.

Another thought. Do you use the default back-end template?

We'll keep looking also but please try variations in settings etc. on your own setup to narrow down the possibilities.

Regards,
Patrick

Ok that is strange. I have tested it on two different sites. Both had the same problem but both are on the same serve as well. Might be a server setting?! I will go and try it on a different server next week.

Hi

I am getting these same error messages after upgrading to Joomla 3.7.0 as well. It only happens when I click on create New when I am using the F2C article manger.

I have the following versions:

Form2Content Lite version 5.5.1
Joomla 3.7.0
PHP 5.6.30

Thanks

Might it has something to do with the fact that these servers run on PHP 5.6?

Hi Rob,

I can reproduce the problem. Luckily they are only warnings that happen when loading a stylesheet.
I will fix this in the next release.

Julien

Hello guys,

Thanks for the update. This seems to work for most of the fields. There stil is an error when you have the color picker as a field. This is the errorcode:

Warning: Cannot use a scalar value as an array in /home/borol/public_html/volt2016/libraries/cms/html/html.php on line 693
Warning: Cannot use a scalar value as an array in /home/borol/public_html/volt2016/libraries/cms/html/html.php on line 694

There also seems to be a problem with the Single line text (textbox) when using the option to set the HTML5 Input Type on datetime_local. The article does not save anymore. Might be the same problem as the normal dateselect.

Hi

I can also confirm the fix for F2C Lite also works for the original issue. I don't use the color picker or HTML5 input types to confirm Rob's subsequent findings.

Thanks.

Hi Rob,

I have a fix for the color picker problem (will create a release soon).

I tried a form with the datetime_local HTML5 field, this works as expected.
Can I see your problem online? Did it work before the 3.7 upgrade?

best,
Julien

Sure you can login. See the attached site details.

I have checked it more profound and concluded the problem is not the datetime_local field. For some reason I can not save articles at all. I do not get any errors anymore, but saving articles is not something that belongs to the options. It was possible before the fix.
