Hi

I am trying to clear some old F2C articles out of the trash. I am able to clear some and this works with no problem. When I try to clear some others I get the following error:

0 Too few arguments to function F2cFieldImageGallery::getBase(), 0 passed in /var/www/website.co.uk/public_html/components/com_form2content/libraries/form2content/field/imagegallery.php on line 636 and at least 1 expected

I am not sure how to get rid of them from the trash.

please add versions including php thanks.

Also, have you edited data manually in the database? Or removed images via ftp or media manager?
Please read the F2C documentation before asking questions! Thank you if you've done so ;)

Hi David,

Can you send me an Akeeba back-up of your site so I can investigate this?

You can send it to julien at opensourcedesign dot nl

Does this error happen in the back-end?

best,
Julien

Hi Julien
It would be very difficult to send you an Akeeba backup due to the size of the site (almost 2GB). I can give you login details if you prefer.

It seems that the articles in question have been deleted from Joomla but not from F2C Pro. Would the only option to be to delete them from the database?

Hi David,

Yes, a login would be fine, but I'm not sure if I can find the cause then.
Can you tell me in a pvt e-mail which articles it concerns?

Akeeba back-ups of that size can be sent through WeTransfer if you want.

best,
Julien

Hi Julien,

after deleting the image gallery field from the content form, trashing was possible. So it has to be related to that field, as the error message lets expect. I cant send you a copy of the page, the customer wouldn't allow that.

I will try again with the gallery field, maybe it was some options that prevented the proper deletion.

Hi David,

why is the thread marked as "Resolved" if the problem is still there?

Hi Avit,

It's difficult for me to find the problem when I can't reproduce it myself.

Since Joomla articles (including the images) that are created by F2C should only be managed by F2C, I think that is the point where it goes wrong.....

Perhaps an image or article has been deleted by hand. When F2C tries to trash the article and the images, it can't find all parts and will produce an error. If I knew where this happened exactly, I could build a scenario where the delete process continued, even with errors encountered.

best,
Julien

hi, the error is easy to replicate. i have it on a fresh installation
- Set up a new site (Joomla 3.8.1)
- install f2c (latest Version)
- set up a new content view
- use field "Image Gallery"
- build a new artice with f2c article manager
- put in some images
- delete the article in f2c article manager
- empty trash in f2c article manager

You should get this error:

Too few arguments to function F2cFieldImageGallery::getBase(), 0 passed in .../components/com_form2content/libraries/form2content/field/imagegallery.php on line 636 and at least 1 expected

Hi Avit,

Thanks to your clear description I have found the error. This will be fixed in the next release.
For the mean time, here's how to fix it:

Back-up the file <your website>/components/com_form2content/libraries/form2content/field/imagegallery.php

Open the file for editing.

On lines #626 and #636 it says: self::getBase()
Change this on both lines to self::getBase(false)
Leave the other text on the line untouched.

That should fix it.

best,
Julien
