Client is having issues adding a new article. He can edit or delete, but trying to add gives a white screen. Turning on development error reporting I see:

Fatal error: Call to a member function get() on null in /home/wwwckde/public_html/,sitename>/components/com_form2content/controllers/form.php on line 48

Line 48 is actually a blank line.

When I look at the URL after clicking "New" it only shows:

https://ckdev.info/humboldt/component/form2content/articlemanager

However, if I amend this to:

https://ckdev.info/humboldt/index.php?option=com_form2content&view=form&layout=edit&projectid=1&Itemid=863

everything works correctly and I can enter information and save the new article.

I remade the link, but that made no difference.

Hi Ian,

The problem is with Joomla! Please replace the following file withe the original from 3.8.3. That should solve the problem.
libraries/src/Router/SiteRouter.php

Patrick

Please add version info and read: http://documentation.form2content.com/support/common-mistakes

Does it work in the back-end?

Version. F2C Lite 5.5.2

Yes, I can add an article on the backend.

My issue isn't explained in the link. We used to be able to add new articles from the frontend previously while still using Joomla 3.8.3. The issue arose prior to me upgrading Joomla to 3.8.4 today.

Thanks! :-) In the meantime, the client is able to add new articles if he uses the correct URL, so he's not stopped from working. But it would be good to get it workign correctly!

I assume you will be releasing a new version to accommodate J!3.8.4 - any ETA on that? Or should we expect a J!3.8.5 in the near future? ;)

Hi Dan, did you not read that this is a Joomla! issue/bug. We can't change that. Just glad we found a quick solution!

Given it's a Joomla thing, and it looks like they're going to fix it in 3.8.5, I'm just going to leave my client using a full URL to access the "Add new" form. Then the update can fix it.

Thanks for the info.
